About Us
An unquenchable thirst for great songwriting combined with a love for the vessels who bring them to life – the songwriters – is the driving force behind ON THE TRACKS Songwriter Showcase. It was founded to bring our favorite writers to our neck of the woods by providing a venue to showcase their incredible gifts.
What makes this series unique is our focus on the songwriting. Our featured performers will be sharing insight into their inspirations and methods, the practical and magical process by which their songs come to life. You’ll hear lots of great songs of course, but you’ll also learn a little something about the art and craft of songwriting.
Concerts are held at the Historic Chelsea Depot
located at 125 Jackson St, Chelsea, MI
Let’s Hear it for the Volunteers!*
The lifeline of our series are the volunteers who do the work making sure you have a seat to sit in, make yummy treats to eat and drink, take your donations, sell artist merch, run the sound and more… If you’re interested in helping out, email onthetracksss@gmail.com.

The founders/organizers take NO PROFIT from the proceeds. 100% of the suggested donation at the door goes to the artists who perform for you. However, there are some costs associated with the rental of the building, cleaning fees, advertising, printing and refreshments and we don't want to have to dip into the audience donations to cover this cost. In addition, we are hoping to offer a minimum guarantee to our performers even if there isn't a large enough audience to pay them what they deserve.
We are extremely fortunate to have a handful of patrons who have helped to keep us going so far, but we are always in need of more funds to sustain us.
If you're able to help us out we would be most grateful.
Donate what you can - no amount is too small. All contributors will be listed as Patron of "On The Tracks" on our website. Your donations are now tax deductible!
